sorry, no hot naked girls :(
surprisingly there are girls my age here… i have yet to meet any of them…
maybe while cruising around in my PIMP golf cart (yes, they gave me a golf cart to drive around base with) I can pick some of them honey’s up with my fly rims and bitchin stereo… wait… there isn’t a stereo… the rims are pretty slick though

seriously, golf carts are awesome!

I found some neat spirally lookin shells on the beach yesterday, so they’re up for grabs.

and no it’s 7:05 PM… aside from 2, 30 minute meal breaks i’ve been in here (the command center) since 9 AM
I’m taking a break now so that I don’t get shot by the MPs (military police) for going insane.
Luckily the next thing i have to do isn’t until around 10PM when i have to goto a debrief.

I did find out one thing though: My friend Omar (works for the DoD, with my helo group) brought a game cube with… so we spent some time and played that for a while.

by the way, the cookie thing is still in effect! (read back a day)

Found something interesting while surfing the net. Scientific American had an article about how much of our brains we actually use (i mentioned the 10% of brain thing a few days back) Turns out that the 10% thing is a MYTH. Yup, a myth, though i don’t quite agree with their arguments for saying it’s not true. I don’t believe that we use 100% of our brains because we don’t use every single part of it at once, or do we?

It would make sense to me that we use different portions of our brains for different activities, but we also have a subconcious that is often forgot about. Maybe when we’re using certain parts of our brain, the others are doing stuff that could be completely unrelated to whatever we’re doing with our concious part.

This reminds me of another science article I read about. It said that women use both sides of their brains for listening… (pause while i look for that article)

“…brain scans showed that men listened to language using mostly the left sides of their brains, while women appeared to use both sides. The left side of the brain is classically associated with listening to language; the right side is known to focus on more creative tasks, such as performing music and understanding spatial relationships, and not listening.”

There are two things that can be gotten out of this:
1. Men are more efficient listeners, they use only half a brain compared to a womans whole brain
2. Solid scientific evidence that men can’t listen worth shit?

Ok, so maybe it’s not solid evidence. I would like to think that I am a good listener, and that people can talk to me when needed, but I too have my moments (as do women, men, dogs, cats, birds)

Well, that’s my post for the day… I’ll just go cause some trouble in the meantime…
