Flight Sim

I got an email today from Dr Durham here at Tech. Earlier in the semester I ‘applied‘ about participating in Flight Simulator Research after he had come into our class and asked for volunteers earlier in the semester. Several months later he finally sends out an email that he’s ready to begin using us volunteers, and I’m one of the lucky first few that get to go. The Simulator actually came from NAS Pax River (where I worked) so I thought that was kinda cool. It’s been modified so that it can simulate any type of aircraft (from the Space Shuttle, to a 747, to a Tomcat, whatever) and it’s a full motion simulator. Should be pretty neat and I’m lucky that I can help out with the research. This is the type of job that I would have wanted to work at Pax… too bad they don’t have enough money in their budget.

Inauguration

Inauguration for SGA Senate was tonight. I’m officially sworn in. My first meeting is next Tuesday. I’m very glad that I joined this organization as opposed to another one. There’s more promise there all around. Surprisingly enough, the AOE department of Engineering is very well represented. Of the 17 Senators they have, at least 6 are from AOE (which is one of the smaller departments)
