ideas. Floating around in my head. Granted, it’s better than no ideas at all. Rob Story sent me a link the other week to a two-man submersible shaped like a dolphin then i got to thinking about how sweet a design that would be for a two-man human powered sub (VT has a human powered sub team that has been well placed the last several years of competition). So I wanted to possibly use the rest of the MHD Money on that, but I probably wouldn’t have enough, aside from the fact that the AOE department will probably never let me touch tools again… sigh. But I did email Clint asking if I could help with the electronics part of the team.

I’m in the middle of redesigning my site. So far so good but it’s getting pretty frustrating. Stupid CSS. I am adding some nice ajaxy type features though. And the Last.fm badge in the lower corner is neat. All the music I play through winamp gets sent to my last.fm account to archive my listening habits. It then recommends new music to me (which I have yet to actually use…).

I also need to finish my OE software… do a whole ton of SNAME stuff… start/finish the freeboard video… sleep… eat… and work 40 hours a week. I’m a busy guy. Good thing I have no life down here in MS. Everyday I just come home and get on my computer. I’ll eat dinner with the Hodges, and then get back on my computer, goto sleep and repeat.

Down here they only work four 10 hour days.  After this first 3 day weekend of the summer (1 down 10 to go) I had applied for a second job at Verizon Wireless down here, but I haven’t heard back.  I’m a bit overqualified for it, and I know a lot of people don’t want to hire part time people for the summer cause they really need full time people.  I’ll just use the time to do all that stuff I’ve been meaning to do.  The week is half over though… which is weird cause it’s a tuesday.

This weekend I’m flying to Tampa, FL for a SNAME Conference (they’re doing the first Student Section Chairman conference ever, and I’m filling in an empty seat as Treasurer).  I’m hoping that after the weekend I’ll feel more motivated to get a lot of the SNAME stuff out of the way (it’s a long list).

Other than all that stuff, life is good.
