Okay. Time for another ‘life re-evaluation’. I’ve been thinkin alot about what I want to do post-undergrad. I’m now very heavily leaning towards getting my masters right away. I’m even considering going straight through with my PhD. I still have a lot to look into. Such as how I’m going to pay for it all.

The reason the grad-school/PhD route looks better to me is because of the research. That’s what I need to be doing. That’s my passion, what drives me. Universities, especially ones like Virginia Tech, are very research driven. That’s what they’re all about. Research and Development, prototyping, all that stuff. That’s what I want to do.

New Plan: 5 more years at VT leaving with PhD. 20 years working in industry doing R&D. Maybe retire at that point (age 46) to become a professor. Rock on.
