I’m officially in grad school.  I know that’s probably the tenth time I’ve said that but I have the letter in hand on my desk from the grad school provost.  Shibby.  Not too much is going on…

Since my last post I went snowboarding on the 18th.  We didn’t have Design class so we got a good 4.5 hours boarding in.  The weather was PERFECT.  It was about 31 degrees and they DIDN’T have the blowers running so goggles weren’t necessary.  I’m getting more comfortable with going straight down-hill.  Considering all my hospitalizations I think it’s acceptable that I am trying to be careful by not going too fast.

I’ve also been in a weird mood lately.  My mind is pretty clear and I don’t have a million thoughts going on at once.  I also haven’t really been conciously motivated to do anything in particular… it’s like I don’t care.  This weekend I stayed in both nights while my roommates went downtown.  Admittedly, I was a little anti-social.  I’ve been doing a lot of work too.  Conciously I’m not motivated to do anything, but apparently my subconcious is motivated to get shit done.  Again, not a bad thing… I just wish I cared.

The Sub Team was busting its collective ass bum yesterday and this morning because we were supposed to give a presentation on our sub to some higher-up people to get feedback.  With all the work we’ve done… we’re where last years team was in April.  I know there’s still a lot to do, but it feels like we’ll be done after this week (definately won’t be the case).  I think our sub is awesome.  I’ll post some pics of the rhino model of it when I get a chance next week.

I really need to start doing CFD work for the HSAUV team.  Tomorrow I’m going to get swipe access to the ME CadLab.  There I’ll be learning to use some software called Fluent that does the actual CFD work.  Never done CFD work which is part of the reason why I actually want to do this for the New AUV project.  The first word in it (Computational) provides a good outlook since I’m good with computers.  I wonder what me (ha, just noticed I typed me… now where’d me lucky charms go…) my thesis is going to be…

Last week I started two posts called ‘Sad Songs…’ and ‘Scrubs…’, but I didn’t have a chance to finish them.  Something to look forward to…
