Didn’t take me too long to stop doing vidcasts. I found out quickly that I’m more of a behind the scenes kind of guy. I don’t have the time to rehearse or memorize or anything like that, I just like editing video. It’s also hard for me to find somewhere quiet to do it… and it just feels weird to me. So no more vidcasts.

Right now I’m taking a break from working on my thesis project. I’ve put in a good amount of work so far today but I’m feeling a little bit overwhelmed (?)… it’s a lot to tackle by myself. Tomorrow I’m going snowboarding with Billy, so hopefully that’ll recharge my batteries. I’ll get to try out my new Jacket/Pants/Gloves. Tonight Billy is going to show me how to wax and sharpen my board so it’ll be good to go for tomorrow.

I haven’t started writing anything on my thesis. I really do think that the project is the hardest part for it. I’m a decent technical writer.

My latest internet project will be setting up my new domain name to try and keep (my) friends updated with each other. It’ll just be a wordpress blog that they can post to once or twice a month… in case we don’t have the time to contact each other. Staying in touch with people is pretty difficult. I’ve only managed to keep 3 or 4 friends from my high school days (and those are all from MD… don’t talk to anyone before then).

I bought a refurbished imac yesterday, should get here next week. I’m hoping to set it up in my apartment (double monitor style) and keep a secret ichat name logged in. That way when I’m at school I can use my laptop to remotely take control of it through ichat (that way I can transfer files if i need them, run some experiments using matlab… etc).

Billy, Amy and I are about to meet with DB about possibly writing a paper for some conference in the U.K. He said he may be able to send one of us… and if it’s not me I’d probably pay for myself… always wanted to go over there. I need to get a new passport though.
